my iPhone can not backup

Hello,

I wanted to backup my iPhone again to the same Laptop but then it says : An unknown error occurred (7014).

I shut down the phone and rebooted. Then I got the message: Unlock your iPhone to use it with this Mac.

It was unlocked already. After a short while the message changed again to: An unknown error occurred (7014).

It can not be the cable because it charges the phone.

I connected the phone to my PC (WIN10) and had no problem to back it up, but I was running out of space, so I had to stop it.

But it shows that the cable is not faulty.

On my C Drive I have 89 GB space, so it can not be a problem with not enough space.

I tried different ports on my Laptop: all the same.

OS = Ventura 13.6.1

iPhone 8 +

iOS 16.7.7

Additional Info:

I know, everybody says first I should upgrade my OS to Sonoma-I did, but the found out that important software did not work anymore - so I downgraded to Ventura again. So upgrading is not an option.

Thank you

Dorian

Try updating iOS after each step.

  • Try to Forget the WiFi network and add it again
  • Try another WiFi network
  • Toggle sets automatically off and then on
  • Reset your network settings
  • Force restart your device
  • Remove any beta profiles, if applicable

VPN or proxy connections might prevent your device from contacting the update servers.

Here are some things you can try:

Basic checks:

  • Make sure your iPhone is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. A weak or intermittent connection can cause update issues.
  • Ensure your iPhone has enough storage space. The update might not be able to download if your storage is full. Go to Settings > General > [Device name] Storage and see how much space you have available. If you need to free up space, delete unnecessary apps or files.
  • Force restart your iPhone. This can clear any temporary glitches that might be causing the problem. For an iPhone 7, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.
  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary software glitches. Turn off your iPhone, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    1. Restart the device. That's it.
