How do I access my iPod and upload some songs in it?

I recently got my hands on  Ipod A1099 Ipod color,

I have been trying to connect it with my macOS Sonoma14.4.1(M2) through the USB-C slot,

the iPod got connected and Mac did ask for permission to allow the accessory/Device,

but it is not showing any where in the Finder nor Desktop,

so I went to system settings>system report>USB

and there I saw that the connection between the MAC & iPod is established.

But, I cannot see it anywhere,

Neither on DESKTOP nor FINDER.

how do I access my IPOd or upload some songs in it?

or how can I make that visible in my FINDER?

any suggestions or tips would be helpful. 🙏🏻

Yes, on the Ipod screen it’s showing “Do not disconnect”

and In the Finder even after turning on the CDs, DVDs, and iOS devices it doesn’t shows up in the Finder or Locations(not even any unspecified devices or sd cards or anything).

But, yesterday I asked a friend of mine to connect the Ipod with his windows Laptop through ITunes, it got connected, recognised and was able to add some Music files.
