Macbook Air M3 + Samsung odyssey 49" G9?

Has anyone gotten their M3 MacBook Air to work with a 49" ultrawide Samsung Odyssey G9?

I have a display port to USB-C tunderbolt adapter which worked for my older m1 and m1 max laptops but now it seems my M3 MBA won't detect the display and vice versa. I was wondering if I needed a new cable or if it's hopeless.

P.S. I tested the cable with other devices and it seems the cable + monitor is fully functional, seems to be an issue with the MacBook. The cable itself is this, which is a display port 1.2 and there is a newer version that seems it might work (hoping a cable upgrade will fix it).

Any update my friend? Did another cable work? I got a MBA M3 as a work laptop and used to have 4 screens connected to my pc laptop. Now I can only attach one other if I want to keep my laptop open. Strongly considering a 49" curved monitor, but there is almost nothing written on it if it will work. I hope it did for you, thanks.
