How to cast to Firestick from iPhone without lag? Video stutters.

Good day! I’m trying to share videos of my cat, Whiskers, from my iPhone to our living room TV via Firestick, but I'm encountering significant lag. During a recent family reunion, I attempted to showcase Whiskers' playful antics using casting apps like AirBeam and TV Mirror, but the videos consistently stuttered. Despite restarting both devices and checking Wi-Fi connectivity, the issue persists. Does anyone have recommendations for a better way to cast iPhone to Firestick that might reduce the lag? I'm looking for a smoother experience so my family can enjoy these adorable moments without interruption.

Thank you!

I've used these streaming apps and they worked quite well. Ensure your Wi-Fi connection is stable, as it’s crucial for streaming. Also, check for any active updates on your iPhone and Fire Stick, as they can sometimes slow down the process.

Alternatively, you might try using an app called DoCast, which simplifies iPhone cast to Firestick.

The video streaming quality is quite high, but it's important to have a stable internet connection to avoid lag.

Make sure both your iPhone and Fire Stick are connected to the 5GHz band of your Wi-Fi router. It offers a faster connection compared to the 2.4GHz band, which can be more congested with other devices.

If you're using a specific app to watch videos, check if it has a built-in casting function. Many streaming services like YouTube or HBO Max have this functionality, which might be more optimized than screen mirroring.

Firesticks do not support Airplay. Therefore, I'd suggest that the people to contact for help would be the developers of the third-party apps you're using. And why aren't you using DoCast? You have recommended that in several other posts.

You might also want to check to see if the television you're using does support Airplay. Many newer ones do. That would probably give you a better experience.
