format a bug/logo for iMovie 10

have what I thought was a properly formatted bug for iMovie.

It's a transparent .png that has been stored in a Photos album.

But sometimes it turns up opaque.

Is there a way to properly format a transparent and keep the "version" in an Event?

Make sure the transparent .png image has an alpha channel for transparency. Check its properties and file format. Import it into iMovie, ensuring transparency is retained. If the problem continues, try using a different image editing tool or saving the image in a different format for compatibility with iMovie.

Yes, Cmd-I (Command + I) should show the properties of the image, including whether it has an alpha channel for transparency. Look for information regarding the image format and any transparency settings. If you don't see transparency information there, you may need to use a different image editing tool to inspect the alpha channel or re-save the image in a format that supports transparency.
