Siri generally works in accordance with the settings we have in place. Updates to iOS sometimes mean adjusting to new settings, or new ways of working, for new features. The iPhone User Guide promptly helps keep us up-to-date with recent changes.

Typical Apple automated response. Siri used to be a powerful tool I used daily, but since this update, I have been looking for something better and will not be upgrading to another iPhone.
