I want the screen to stay open but it shuts down after a few seconds unless I keep touching the screen.

Mine recently started to do this too! Never had this issue before.
Look in Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto Lock.
Warning: Don’t set to “Never”
What exactly are you trying to “settle” which the 1st rely didn’t resolve ?
I have the same issue ever since I bought the iPhone 15 pro
i phone 15 Pro Max screen keeps locking. Is there someplace in settings to fix this?
