Redo not available in Numbers for Mac

Hi I am putting together a spreadsheet in numbers and trying to add more rows but the redo option in the edit menu is greyed out and the short-cuts don't work either. This is pretty terrible as having to add rows manually is such a pain that I'm very tempted to use Excel.

Does anyone know why this is not working?

Redo is the opposite of Undo. It does not repeat the last operation, it undos Undo.

You can use Option Down Arrow or Option Up Arrow to add rows. If those are the shortcuts you say are not working, it is likely that something else has stolen those shortcuts (like perhaps a third-party keyboard or clipboard "helper" app).

Hi suzana,

Have you tried this?

Select a row. Click on the row number on the left and Add Row Below (or Above).

New Row 4.

Now, not exactly a Redo, rather a Multi-do:

Select several rows:

3 new rows.

And don't forget these handles. Drag to add or delete blank rows to the bottom and/or blank columns to the right:

Happy Numbering!

Ian.
