wireless headphone sound is to loud

I have a iphone SE (2022) (prevuesly I had a android), I have also wireless headphones which I have almost 4 years and they work great (Skullcandy hesh 3). But now on my iphone the lowest volume possible while connected to my headphones is still very loud! way louder then when I connect them to my laptop or my old phone. Does anyone has any idea if there is a way to get a lower volume then natively possible ? (or is there a other solution, maybe my headphones don't communicate with my iphone properly ?)

I already tried:

deleting my headphones in my previeusly connected items and adding them back.
In settings "Headphone Safety". Turn on "Reduced Loud Sounds" as much as possible (slider completely to the left).

But until now nothing helps.

Thank you for this quick response!,

I contacted SkullcandySupport, they told me to "Remove your Hesh 3® Wireless headphones from your device’s paired list,... add them back. Also reset your headphones..." (both didn't work).
What do you mean by if my headphones support iOS17; the specifications on my headphones does not go in depth, it only states it supports bluetooth 4.1.

Some maybe interesting extra information

My headphones have volume knobs themself if i use them then they do the same as if i use the volume knobes on my iphone (running IOS 17.4.1). I do not use any app for my headphones and never did (also didn’t used a app on my old android). There is a skullcandy app, but it doesn’t support my headphones I think because they are an old model. If you wonder which app i am using that produces to loud of sounds, well all apps, youtube, music, games, instagram...
