Apple Maps Doesn't Show Next Turn on CarPlay

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.4.1.

When I use CarPlay, the turn-by-turn navigation does not show the next turn. As you see in the image below, the display only shows a left turn in 1.1 miles. It does not show what that turn is or what will be next.

Often, I need to turn somewhere immediately after the item, and want to know what that is. Fortunately, I wasn't driving so was able to see the directions on my phone. As you can see in the image below, I needed to turn left, then right within a third of a mile.

Can you add this to the main screen?

Exactly the bug. The next two turns should show. I fail to understand why Apple doesn't fix this.

Right, that's the issue. I need to know ahead of time, which lane to be in. When I take exit 65 to Telephone Rd, do I get in the right lane, center lane, left lane? I won't have much time to change lanes, especially with traffic.

On Waze, the guidance would say something like 101S then Telephone Rd. At least I know the after-next turn.

The next turn appears only after you take Exit 65 to Telephone Road

Then you will see (The Next Turn) E Main St to National Guard Armory
