Move Projects in iMovie to a new computer

My MacBookPro died...luckily my data was stored in iCloud. However, my iMovie projects are not in the iCloud so I cannot follow common instructions in moving from old to new Mac. How can I get my Projects into my new Mac without being able to copy them from my old Mac_

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

Edit/Copy and Edit/Paste your iMovie library that contains the projects, into an external drive or thumb drive that is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or APFS. Plug the external drive into your new Mac. Then Edit/Copy, Edit/Paste, the library from the external drive into into your new Mac.

If you need to reformat the external drive be aware that reformatting erases all data on the drive. So be sure first to back up any data that you want to keep.
