Keynote animations, first build changes back from after transitions to on click…

When creating multiple build sequences in Keynote, why does Keynote always change the first build back from 'after transitions' to 'on-click'? If I wanted it 'on-click' I would have clicked that option in the first place. It is infuriating and a complete waste of time. APPLE please change this!
