2017 iMac - Windows 10 problems if an adapter cable is plugged in to either USB-C port

I have a problem with iMac 2017 running bootcamp + Windows 10.

When I tried to add a second monitor to the USB-c port, the machine failed to shutdown but just keep restarting and if it goes into Sleep, the 2nd monitor gone missing until the next bootup.

There are many discussion about this issue here, but none of them provided any solution.

I tried many adapters and cables but none worked.

Finally, but aggregating all the experience and research results from the members of this community, it strikes me that the problem is the USB-c driver in Windows. It is the Billboard driver from MS from 2016. That has not been any update from neither Apple or MS. I simple disalbe the Driver/Device of the USB 3.1 xHCI and Billboard Device, then everything worked as it should, i.e., the iMac shuts down without rebooting and the second monitor shows up after waking from sleep. As a bonus, the 2nd monitor is detected and brightens up always immediately after iMac boots up in Windows, no more flickering and going dark then showing up again.

Hope this helps those out there still using iMac 2017 + Windows 10 + 2nd Monitor.
