Can I play Apple Music natively with Wiim Pro Plus?

I want to play Apple Music natively with Wiim Pro Plus.

i don’t want to use the Wiim App on my iPhone. But is it right, that I am forced by Apple to use the Wiim App to play Music from my iPhone instead using the Apple Music App?

WiiM – What are the differences between the WiiM Pro and the WiiM Pro Plus

The WiiM Pro Plus appears to be an audiophile music streaming set-top box that you plug into a stereo receiver. The manufacturer's site claims that it works with Siri and with AirPlay 2. However, it appears that they have their own streaming apps in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Quite possibly, to use all of the functions of the WiiM Pro Plus streaming set-top box, you need to use the iPhone app or the Android app.

Although they claim to support a number of streaming services "in app", I do not see the Apple Music streaming service listed as one of them. Presumably if one is a subscriber to Apple Music and also has this device, the way that you play Apple Music songs on the device is to use the iPhone's Music app and cast the audio to the device using AirPlay 2.

Google is your friend here ;)

A WiiM device isn’t “some kind of knock off of an Amazon Alexa” (I guess you mean an Amazon Echo - Alexa is the cloud service/voice assistant. It’s like calling a HomePod an Apple Siri…).

WiiM devices are very capable hi res streamers but because of the lack of a suitable API for Apple Music, the best that can be done is to send Apple Music over AirPlay to a WiiM streamer from the Apple Music app.

However due to Apple Music’s penchant to only send lossy 256Kbps AAC over AirPlay 2 except in a very particular instance you can’t get bit perfect lossless playback for Apple Music unlike Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz etc that all WiiM devices support losslessly.
