Why is my battery draining so quickly on my Apple Watch Series 6?

Fully charged at 11pm last night, woke up this morning, down to 60% (usually its 90%) charged it to about 70% and went for a run, usual 6.5mile. Came back, less than 10% left by 10am. No idea what theyve done but it used to last comfortably all day and now doesnt even last till morning properly.

Can almost watch it tick down the % when looking at it. Beyond annoying.

Went for a walk after lunch, its a mile and takes about 20 minutes and that used over 10% with no GPS or anything in use.

Its a Series 6, but up until this week has been fine, battery health 86% still.

I'm having a similar problem with my Apple Watch Series 6 (model M00H3VC/A, watchOS 10.4 (21T216)) ever since I upgraded my iPhone 11 Pro Max (model MWH42VC/A, iOS17.4.1 (21E236)) to iOS 17.4.1.

Watch on watchOS9.x plus iPhone on iOS 16.x = 48 hours of battery life.

Upgrade to watchOS 10.0 and iPhone to iOS 17.0 = 36 hours of battery life.

Subsequently upgraded to watchOS 10.4 and iOS 17.4 with no battery degradation.

Upgrade iPhone to iOS 17.4.1 = 24 hours of battery life on my Watch.

Battery Health has been at 86% since prior to upgrade to watchOS 10.0.

You cannot convince me this is a coincidence.

Like you, I can almost sit and watch the remaining battery percentage tick down. I charged it last night before bed, put it back on my wrist at 9pm, and by what is now noon I'm down to 56%. I'll have to charge it again tonight before bed in order to use the Sleep features, upon which I rely.

When can we expect a software fix, Apple?

Case raised with Apple.

Diagnostics ran, show no sign of any hardware or battery issues.

Even running the diagnostics used about 7% of the battery, so they’ve now seen it first hand.

Apple engineering clearly aware of the issue as there’s an article provided to support staff to follow and gather info, then send to them for review.

Should hear back Tuesday what they say… although fully expecting them to blame the battery as an easy cop out when it so very clearly isn’t
