Large Slideshow in iMovie

I have created a video for my daughters 18th, this includes music, photos and videos is quite large. I am trying to export it from iMovie on my iPhone 12 to my Intel laptop so that I can save to USB stick and give it to her.

When I export do I save as a file or to my photos on iPhone? When I last saved it anywhere my phone just became really slow.

When the laptop is connecting to my iphone I can see the video but it won't play. I managed to do this successfully a few weeks ago and was able to play it and transfer to USB, but then realised I had missed something off the video. But for the life of me I can't remember how I did it all!! (must have been a fluke the first time!), I am getting so frustrated and only have a couple of days to figure it out before her birthday.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can try saving the project as a video to your iPhone photos app. From there you can try emailing it to yourself or sending it in a text message.

I don't use Windows machines so not familiar with its features. However, you might try plugging in your phone to your computer and see if there is a way to transfer your video from the iPhone photos app to your windows computer.

Another way would be to upload the video from your iPhone photos app to You Tube or other video website, and from there download it to your computer.
