WiFi not working after update 17.4.1

I updated my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 17.4.1 last night and it keeps dropping WiFi and when I try to reconnect it says “unable to join this network” I have to do a hard reset every time for it to connect. When will Apple get their updates right?!?!? Honestly! I’m so upset.

I have done this and it’s not pure coincidence since my brother and my best friend who both live 3,000 miles away are experiencing the same issue. I restored my phone from the latest backup which was done 1 hour and 20 mn before the said update and the problem persists. Whenever I leave my house and lose wifi when I come back home it doesn’t connect and tells me that it’s unable to join network when I try to force connect to WiFi. Same problem at work so it’s not router related and I am not experiencing this problem on my iPad which has not been updated, so yes I do repeat: Apple needs to get their act together and offer updates that actually solve problems and not create new ones. Thank you.

I have the exact same issue! I go to sleep and overnight, the Wi-Fi will automatically disconnect and won’t reconnect on its own. I get poor network speeds in my area, so I rely mostly on Wi-Fi to get up to the minute updates that I require. I wish they’d start using rapid updates again to fix these types of issues. I use iPhones because it “just works”, but Apple seems to be tossing ease of use into the bin, in exchange for new or improved features and breaking the more important and basic functions.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. WiFi issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone internet functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

I can also confirm this and it is frustrating. With WIFI turned on all internet connections are dropped. All local WIFI works from system to system and other devises on that same WIFI have access to the internet. It's not a SIM card issue as that all works. It's not the local carrier or the WIFI network as all that works. This is isolated to my iPhone devise on 17.5.1 and happened about the same time others starting reporting this issue.
