iPhone 14 won’t charge post update to IOS 17.4.1

I updated to IOS 17.4.1 today and now can no longer charge iPhone 14 Pro Max - turned phone on and off, turned off optimized charging(as was suggested on other forum) restarted and nothing. The only charger that worked briefly was an old USB charger from years ago. That has now stopped working though as well.

Trying to look for an issue on the support chat forums suggests it’s not an isolated problem. Has anyone found a solution other than trying to turn the phone on and off and switching chargers?

I am not sure which method you used to turn your iPhone ON and OFF. If you have not, then Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

If that does not help, then contact 👉 Official Apple Support OR you can always get your iPhone examined at the Apple Store 👉 Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options or at an Authorized Service Center for further diagnosis and evaluation.

I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 13. I updated it to (17.4.1) and since then it stopped charging. I've already tested it with 2 chargers/cables and in different outlets. I tried turning off optimized charging but it didn't help. I used the remaining battery to back up and reset to factory settings, but it didn't fix the charging problem. It's now turned off and won't charge anymore.

I’m having the same issue! My phone is kept indoors out of the extreme weather. It doesn’t get wet or over heat. I only charge it when it’s below 30% and it doesn’t sit on the charger past a fully charged battery. The other night my phone said there was water in my charging port which there wasn’t. To unplug it and let it dry and try again. It charged shortly after until the next day (today) it will not charge. I just bought a MagSafe charger praying it’ll charge wirelessly because I do not want another phone. I have the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
