Calendar uses my Apple ID email when accepting/declining/deleting events. How do I change email to an alias?

I never realized Calendar used my main Apple ID email when I accept, decline, or try delete meeting events. I don't want Calendar to use that email for work or personal use. I have alias emails I use for that and created back w/ @me.com (then @mac.com, and now @icloud.com). How do I use one of my alias emails instead? I've been wanting to change this for years and the general response is change it to another account, which I don't have/want to do. It makes no sense that Calendar only uses my main Apple ID/iCloud account email and that I can't change or choose which email to use when accepting or declining or deleting meeting invites/events. Why doesn't anyone understand this?

One potential workaround could involve manually changing the "Reply-To" address on your device before responding to an event invitation. However, this might not be a seamless solution and could require additional steps.

To change the email used for accepting, declining, or deleting events in Calendar, you'll need to make adjustments in your Apple ID settings. Open your Settings app on your Apple device, Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen. Select "Name, Phone Numbers, Email." Under the "Reachable At" section, you should see your primary Apple ID email. Tap on it. You'll be presented with a list of email addresses associated with your Apple ID. If your alias email isn't there, you may need to add it first. To add an alias, tap on "Add Email or Phone Number" and follow the prompts. Once your alias is added, go back to the list of email addresses and select your preferred alias. Make sure the checkbox next to "Use this Email with Messages and FaceTime" is selected. Exit the settings, and now your alias email should be the one used by Calendar for event responses.

I was attempting to edit my post and as usual it did not work...

I don't see "Name, Phone Numbers, Email" or "Reachable At" under iOS (17.4.1) Settings > Apple ID or macOS (14.4.1) System Settings > Apple ID. There is "Personal Info", "Sign-In & Security", "Payment & Shipping",..etc. under Apple ID. Anyway, under Sign-In & Security > Email & Phone Numbers, it lists my Apple ID email along with my alias email. I added these years ago. I also don't see this; "Once your alias is added, go back to the list of email addresses and select your preferred alias. Make sure the checkbox next to "Use this Email with Messages and FaceTime" is selected."

Regardless, I should be able to easily select which [alias] email I want to use w/ Calendar events, same as Mail. It should not be using my Primary Apple ID email by default. This is not intuitive. What are they thinking? I created alias emails for personal and work.
