How do I get my voicemails back on my iPhone?

After the latest update Al of my voicemails were gone. I need to know how to get them back.

Well my cellular data has always been on and as soon as I did the 17.4 update it deleted all of my voicemails and the carrier said they couldn’t be retrieved because they don’t even see any deleted voicemails. It’s like they were never there. I kept voicemails of my mom who passed away and now they’re gone forever and the carrier said that that shouldn’t have happened but there was nothing he could do. Do, I feel like there should be a warning about this spelled out so we can make informed decisions before installing these updates.

I didn’t assume anything, either way, I said "If you don’t have a cellular network connection…”. I didn’t say "you don’t have a cellular network connection…"


Log in to your carrier’s voicemail server. They have instructions on their website, but usually you either hold the “1” button on your phone keypad or you call your own number. Are the voicemails there, or not?
