Apple Watch not syncing music woes

iPhone 15 Pro - iOS 10.4, Apple Watch Ultra 2 - watchOS 10.3;

I’ve had music issues on my AWU at least since the AWU 1. Before last week some albums would show, some would not in the AW app > Music on the phone, all albums had wrong cover art (don’t really care too much about that), music was sorted with no rhyme or reason ((also live able).

For some mysterious reason Apple sells this watch with 64GB but only allows 8GB for music, pretty asinine ;-}

Last week I removed some music to add other music, music would not sync, it's still somewhat unsure to me when this is supposed to happen (I figured over night but I read somewhere it happens if the device are close?), I ended up developing pneumonia (unrelated, I think 😁), so I left it alone for a few days bit no music went to the AW, Sunday I decided to re-pair the watch, restored backup, issue prevailed. I even turned on "Recent music" but nothing synced. Today I again re-paired and set up watch as new. Music I try to add is shown in the AW app for a bit, spinning yellowish circles for a bit, then music and spinner disappear. again enabled "Recent music" but nothing syncs.

I have -before this- when music would at least synced wrote a long message to Apple Feedback, discussed it here and on a non affiliated Apple forum, a handful of people had similar issues but I think not a ton of people use their AW as a music player (I can not have my phone on me at work, and there is no way I can survive without music haha, so today I wore my AWU 2, and carried around my AW 7 for music. Now another issue arose and I'm not 100% how it happened, I think when I switched iPhones, the AW 7 is not in my AW app and adding it like described doesn't work so I can't add new music on that one either --yeah I'm a mess ;-}

I'm pretty sure Apple Support can't help me, I may contact them regardless so the issue is more (?) known. I'm now considering getting an iPod touch that supports AirPods and the problem with that, we can't have devices with cameras ;-}

I'm very much hoping I can find a solution, it's a basic function I would say and it should work on a rather expensive device like this.

Thanks in advance.

I'm also unable to sync music with my Apple watch. It has only started recently. I'm not willing to pay for something that has always been available for free and is the main reason that I bought the apple watch.

I couldn’t agree more. I believe not a ton of people actually use their watch to for playing music, so it’s not a huge issue Apple works on. Like you, it just stopped working out if the blue 😠.

I had an AW 6 and had the music I wanted on it already synced, so hadn’t done any music syncing in a long time. This week I upgraded to an AW 9 (GPS), and after the transfer of my setup to the new watch my music was not there. I attempted to sync my music again but the Watch app on iPhone does nothing. AW 9 on OS 10.4 and iPhone OS 17.4.1. And I am an Apple One Premier subscriber. So it’s not about getting more money out of users—it’s simply broken.

Out of desperation I purchased an iPod touch to have music at work. A d you’re 100% correct, it’s simply broken and I feel 1. Apple isn’t aware or 2. Does not care, possibly both 😡.
