I made an hour long video on my iPhone and wanted to transfer it to my MacAir. When I attempt an AirDrop it just says 'Waiting' and nothing happens (but I can transfer photos ok). I'm connected to both devices on wifi. I also tried attaching the video to Mail, but the attachment didn't work, it's just a 1Mo file. Thanks for your advice!

Try rebooting both your phone and Mac, and then again try to Air Drop.
