iphone 14pro not connecting with the charging cable

My iPhone 14pro is still under warranty & is not connecting to the charge cable when i plug it in, is this covered under warranty? Or will they just try to clean it? I am sick of trying to find time to go to the Applestore just so that my phone can do something as essential as charge itself!

Yes I have a wireless charger but not in my car, at my friends house, at work etc. etc.

Is it unreasonable to expect that I can plug my phone in as designed & it will charge? Not good enough Apple! Sort it out! I have had this problem across 4x iPhones now! What. The. Heck.?! Thanks ☺️

Have you tried inspecting and cleaning the lightning port on the bottom of the phone?

Are you using a high quality cable, either Apple or from a reputable manufacturer, and certified as Made for iPhone?

I have been plugging in and charging iPhones and iPads for 15 years, and so has my wife; neither of us has ever had a problem, so most likely it is an issue with your phone or the way you are using it, not something that Apple can magically sort out by waving a magic wand.

Not looking for magic, nor am I expecting it. You are correct that the issue is in part due to dust/etc in the charger port, i attempt to clean it myself regularly & have tried everything from airblowing with compressed air to small brushes etc. but alas, it still fails to reliably connect. The key word there Lawrence is “reliably”. I only use Apple cords & have tried a brand new one today, which was mildly better-but doesn’t help when at night I plug it into the charging dock (that I purchased from Apple) & it fails (keyword-fails)

I use the phone as it was intended…as a mobile device. Thanks ☺️

If you have a recurring problem with dust or cruft in the charging port you should consider changing however it is you are carrying the phone. My wife’s phone is 4 years old and has none (I passed it on 2 her 2 years ago). She had an iPhone 8 previously for 5 years and it had none. She kept each in a case in her purse. My 14 Pro is a year and a half old, and has none. I carry it in a belt holster. If you carry it loose in a pocket it should be in at least a soft slipcase. You have a $1,200 piece of delicate electronics, and should treat it with respect.
