Mac loads into macOS even after selecting Windows in the boot menu

I have Windows 10 installed on my MacBook Air 2017 (7,2) simply because macOS is just too slow on that machine to get any real work done. I have installed Windows on a separate partition however every time I reboot my Windows system it straight up simply boots to macOS even after selecting the Windows partition in the boot menu. The only way to reboot into Windows again is to plug in a Windows 10 bootable USB and selecting the "Repair my PC" option and then selecting Exit and continue to Windows 10. This has become a pain in the butt and I just couldn't find any solution anywhere. I have the latest version of bootcamp installed on Windows as well but still it doesn't help.

For the record, I also tried booting into Windows using the "Startup Disk" option in the macOS Settings, but it just simply boots to macOS even after selecting Windows.

A video has been attached below demonstrating this issue:

If someone can please help me fix this issue, that'd be lifesaving.

*For those who might ask why not use Sleep instead, it's because it drains too much battery and I occasionally do boot into macOS to run specific programs.
