Same here on my iPad except it told me to make the choice using the app on my phone.

I installed it on my phone, logged in, was offered a choice about keeping my account or creating a new one. Made my choice. Went back to iPad… still stuck on the same page. Restarted Messenger, but still the same.

I want to bill FB for my wasted time!

tried logging out and logging in again. Message has now gone away, BUT SO HAVE ALL MY CHATS AND CONTACTS.

This is a disaster

I have the same problem with iPad and Messenger :(
