Unable to remove activation lock on locked MacBook Air

I buy a MacBook Air on a pawnshop and when I stared they announced an activation lock and answer me for the last Apple ID and password but I don’t have it

Activation Lock Hi there! I just bought Macbook Pro from someone and though we checked and previous owner logged out everywhere, once we tried to erase Mac Activation Lock turned on. The owner says that it’s asking for unfamiliar Apple ID and that there is no other owners before him. Is it even possible? Is there a way to go around this?

I need to remove activation lock on my macbook air and can't contact previous owner I purchased the machine, added myself as a user, used it for months and then went to update the OS and I was locked out. I had no way of knowing the machine had an activation lock when I bought it, and I'm sure the seller just didn't think of it. There is an erase option for if you don't have the previous users information, but it doesn't fix the problem

I have an Activation Lock on my new MacBook Pro I purchased a 2020 MacBook Pro in an auction and it has activation lock on it . Anyway I can bypass this ? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Go back to the pawnshop and ask them to contact the seller or give you a refund. It's an anti-theft measure.
