I can only play videos I have recorded in the photos app using the edit function. When I press the play button the video will not play. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I am using the most up to dat iOS. Any ideas?

This is happening to me too and it is so infuriating. Turning my phone off and on again isn’t fixing it anymore.
This also just started happening to me yesterday. This morning i powered off my phone and it was fixed once powering back on.

I am unable to grasp what type of recording and why you need an edit function to video record is not clear to me.
That works for a while but then I get the same problem after a few weeks. Easy enough to just turn off and on but annoying! Thanks for your comments.
