Cellular data issues after enabling eSim with physical SIM

Hello,

I have iPhone 15 pro max working normally with SIM card and the data is fine but after adding eSIM and enabling it I started facing issues on data, when using WhatsApp or other apps it keep loading then the 4G/5G signal disapper and back again. Is it because now the mobile working with two different carriers?

My phone is in dual sim mode, using a physical sim with Vodafone and an esim with Odido (former T-mobile). The same applies als for GPS fix and bluethooth. 5G stopped working after iOS update After the update to iOS 16.4.1, my 5G connection has stopped working. I have tried all the recommended steps to resolve the issue, including resetting my device, resetting network settings, updating my carrier settings, and more, but I have not been able to get 5G to work again. It is possible that this is a bug in the latest iOS version and Apple may need to release another update to fix the issue. I am using an eSIM card and everything was perfect before this update. My carrier has conducted hundreds of tests to try and resolve this issue, but with no luck. Interestingly, the physical SIM card is working fine in 5G network, yet the eSIM is not. It only shows LTE. Please do not suggest any trivial methods like turning on 5G in the settings, as I have tried all such possible solutions in the past two weeks, having done all the research and taken all the necessary steps from my side and the carrier's side. iPhone Cellular data only works with one SIM active or on Wi-Fi Pre the end of 2024, I had a physical SIM and an eSIM. Both from different networks. The eSIM is linked to the phone number I use, for voice calls, etc. The physical SIM was set for all mobile data, and if I’m in a dead spot for that network it’s got allow data sharing set or I manually get the phone to use cellular / mobile data via the eSIM. Over the festive season, I suddenly noticed I couldn’t get onto the internet unless on WiFi. I’ve been to an approved Apple Store, they ran a bunch of tests and my phone is apparently fine. I went to the cellphone / mobile carrier shops and got a new eSIM and new SIM. While doing this it was noticed that if I disable either line, then do a data speed test, I get a good cellular data connection. As soon as I put the turned off line, back on, no cellular / mobile data possible. What is wrong & so how do I correct this ? Thankyou Things I’ve already tried: reset all the carrier settings for both SIMs turned the phone on and off new eSIM and SIM (& waited over 24 hours). If one SIM is turned off, the remaining one works 100% fine. checked I’m on the latest software. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Im not totally sure but I think that your phone is just switching between cell towers try going into settings general and hit reset network settings. This will most likely fix the problem

I am also facing same problem in iphone 15 pro. If i am talking on whatsapp then its calling is disconnecting again and again but if i switch off esim then i can talk on whatsapp otherwise its disconnecting.

I am having a similar issue with data with my iPhone 13. I called ATT and they changed the eSIM. I am hoping this solves the issue for good. Resetting network did not work for me.
