Spam email loaded into calendar

An email came into my spam folder and inserted itself into my calendar over 10days.

A calendar reminder event popped up this is how I discovered it. Reviewing the event options were accept, maybe, decline.

I clicked decline nothing it’s still there. Found the first entry held down on it and opened a menu best option was cut so that’s what I did. It hasn’t removed the events just put a line thru them.

I never opened the email or clicked on it.

how does this happen?

has my security been compromised?

thanks Lisa

Same problem here. Has anybody gotten any replies? It doesn’t give you the option to delete the calendar it’s the only calendar I cannot delete.

This only recently started happening to me too. It's mostly junk emails that are doing this to me! It's the same as when I get an automatic calendar entry for an airline reservation.

I've been able to delete the entries by deleting the junk emails. I'd love to be able to turn this option off but cannot find anything that lets me do that under calendar or email in settings.
