Resizing MacBook Display

So I have a 2020 MacBook Air and the screen is cracked in the bottom left corner so there is an approximately 1 cm wide line of dead pixels running down the left part of the display. Is there any way to resize/rescale my display so that the content is covered by the dead pixels can be viewed?

VMware, macOS 10.13

Unfortunately, what you are looking for is to reduce the size of the image on the monitor, both vertically and horizontally, and that depends on the graphics driver software. Not all graphics card vendors have this feature in their software, in this case the Apple M1 of your MacBook doesn't have that feature.
