I am on Mac Sonoma 14.3 with Mac Studio when I try to connect my continuity camera to my streaming software the camera shows a black screen with no image. this just started with the new 14.3 update Help.

UPDATE! Solved! I fixed the issue by turning off Firewall on Mac and rebooting iPhone and Mac right after.
Then I turned Firewall on back again but continuity camera remained working properly.

The suggested firewall solution did not work for me. Instead, I had to disconnect from VPN. It works fine as long as I'm not on VPN, but I get the black screen when I'm connected to VPN.
System: Apple MacBook Pro M1 Max, MacOS Sonoma 14.5, Cisco Secure Client 5.1.2.42 (Duo-Split-Tunnel-VPN).

When I read here this sugggestion "manually ALLOW that app to access your strictly private camera"
I thought that I should do the same for Bluetooth (besides camera). So, in my case I allowed Zoom.us and Google Chrome. BINGO, it worked.

Yes, I am on a Mac Studio with 32gig mem. and 512 gig internal SSD. The iPhone is the new 15 Pro Max. I have jumped through every hoop I can find with no luck. What I need to know is every setting in my iPhone and on my Mac that I need to set it up. Nowhere can I find that info and what is there on video is just the basics claiming do this and it will work. NOPE, I spent all this money on a new phone and the last update to the phone made it useless 17.4 ios.
I had to turn the firewall on, restart, turn firewall off and then it worked. I also tried just about everything else listed on this page with little success so hopefully that will be the fix for everyone.
This worked for me too. I was trying to take a picture through the iPhone while registering as a seller on Amazon. Thanks for sharing your fix!

Camera is "No Access" for EVERY App by default.

Anyone has any update on the subect? Having the same issue even with FaceTime when I chose iPhone as a camera in video source options. Wi-Fi or wired connection, MacBook Air just shows black screen instead of video stream from the camera. Camera usage is allowed for all apps in Privacy settings. Running the last version of MacOS and iOS.
This seems to be a universal bug. Anyone who needs continuity camera is apparently just hosed, I guess?
My continuity camera works fine (iPhone) so may be related to your software app.
please post a screenshot of:
system preferences > security & privacy > privacy > camera
.. that shows you have enabled access for the App in question, which you have not yet named.
