Will adding RAM to my 27 inch Late 2012 iMac extend its life?
I have an old 2009 iMac that still functions just fine. There is no way to know when a computer will die. Upgrades do not extend its life.

I am aware of the inability to upgrade. I added the full 32 GB anyway. I know the end is near but can't help wonder how much longer will it continue to operate and if there is anything that would extend its life. Maybe nothing. Suppose I have no choice but enjoy my old iMac until the end.
It won't last any longer or be able to upgrade macOS beyond macOS Catalina no matter how much memory that you add to it.
