Music app crashes/ won't open on Macbook Pro; no access to my library and no support from Apple

I was deleting playlist from Apple music when the app quit. It will not allow me to open the app and it doesn't even give me a "crash" report anymore. I have been on the phone for HOURS with Apple (and four different people) and they didn't call me for a scheduled appointment today. The app will open if I create another user on my computer; however, it accesses a very old library. I have installed updates (Sonoma 14.3; but this happened before the update). I have tried going into my Itunes folder and clicking on a song. It won't open. I have tried copying a file of songs and putting it under the Music folder. It won't open. I have tried downloading a CD. It ask for access to the external drive and then doesn't open. So not only can I not access my library, I can't even play CD's. Any ideas? I went online to see if others have had this issue and tried several "solutions" there with no luck. There isn't anyplace to go to redownload the app to my Macbook Pro.

FIXED I think !! Same problem - Apple Music was downloading an album and crashed. Then it just crashed every time I restarted the application. Re-started in safe mode - no change. Deleted the apple music preferences file in the library. ( user/library/preferences/com.apple.Music.plist) Still crashes. Deleted the caches folder (user/library/caches/com.apple.Music) in library and still crashes.

I'm all up to date by the way.

The only way I cat get music to start is by creating a new empty (!!!) music library. Hold option key down when starting music.

Then it works - and it creates new prefs and cache files so they should be OK now.

So now I try selecting my old library again - hold the option key when you restart the apple music app. Select your previous library. Et voilà. It looks like it's working again and everything is there. Playlists, the lot.

But a little frustrating after all the other frustrations in apple music (like overwriting ripped CD's and odd stuff).
