Ipad Air Heating Up even not in use

My 5th Gen iPad Air with iOS 17.2 is overheating, even when not in use. It won’t charge fully, claiming it’s too warm, and continues to get hot, draining the battery even when idle. Despite trying airplane mode and turning off background app refresh, the issue persists. Please help!

If there is a case on the iPad, remove the case and see

if the problem goes away over a period of a few days.

Otherwise, make an appointment at the nearest Apple location to have your iPad evaluated for free.

Once the diagnostics are complete, the staff will explain your options.

Mine too! I have an iPad air 5th gen. After updating it the same thing happened to me. I tried all the troubleshooting options even restoring from itunes but it didn't work. My iPad is out of warranty so I have to pay out of pocket for repair. But I'm gonna contact apple support again for any possible solution regarding this issue. I'm really regretting updating it.
