Trying to recover the High Sierra OS on an older Mac. Need help.

Hi,
I just wonder if you did tried Internet recovery(Option+Command+r) which should be working.
And you should connect USB keyboard and mouse instead of wireless keyboard and mouse.
Still the same. Took your suggestion on using a corded mouse and keyboard but still the same. Now it’s just booting up, blank screen for hours!
The recovery server could not be contacted
