Apple CarPlay on iOS 17.3 not working correctly

I have an iPhone 15 and I had been able to use CarPlay in my 2023 Honda Ridgeline but now I am not able to get IOS 17.3 to work at all.

i have tried every option that I have seen on google. A few of them worked for half a minute and then bam, nothing. I believe that Apple’s IOS is somehow blocking CarPlay from working on my vehicle. I tried another iPhone 13 on iOS 17.3 and it still did not work.

I have a 2022 BMW 2022 M850 and iPhone 15 Pro. Ever since the update to 17.3, Car Play will work fine, and then I will notice that it is starting to load again, so obviously somewhere while driving it is cutting off and restarting. I have not had problems with CarPlay until now.

Chiming in here as there’s many on a separate thread on this forum experiencing issues with the 15 Pro and bluetooth being non-functional with in-car bluetooth.

Are all of you paired to the factory bluetooth system in addition to CarPlay? The prevailing thought is that there is some massive bug with the bluetooth driver for the 15 Pro.

SOLVED FOR ME: I tried EVERYTHING too, well except resetting my phone... HOGWASH!

Had this problem in my Hyundai Elantra. iPhones worked fine before with CarPlay.

For me having the latest iOS 17.3 AND using an official Apple charging cord did the trick. I believe it has to do with official Apple charging products because my main phone would also not work with any off brand charger or powerbank ONLY Apple chargers.

Try getting an official charging cable from Apple (or using if you have one) and trying again. Hope it helps you too.

Same with iPhone 14 and Skoda Octavia.

Use of Siri (triggered by button or voice) disconnects from CarPlay.

Same issue, cuts out after a few mins connected on my car. iPhone 15 Pro Max. It wasn’t an issue until 17.3 🤦🏻‍♂️

I know it’s not a help but yesterday everything startet to work again.

I haven‘t restarted the car system or the iPhone and there was also no update on either system.

I just can’t tell a reason or solution.

Not working at all for me. Reset car, reset phone....trash. It does work with a charging cable but I have wireless CarPlay and it will not work. 14 pro max. I need to figure how to downgrade the OS. Very frustrating

Am experiencing the same problem in iPhone XR after upgrading to 17.3.

Apple is shipping buggy updates

Despite trying everything suggested (Music EQ, content and privacy restrictions) Carplay not working with iPhone 11 Pro, IOS 17.3 and BMW after upgrading to IOS 17.

This is driving me nuts!! What do we do????!!!

Turns out that I had to reboot my BMW iDrive system for CarPlay to work - so it wasn't an Apple iOS issue for me.

14 pro with ios 17.3 on Merc glb 2021 and e class 2021.

restart carplay, change cable, restart phone - nothing.

same on 2019 xc90. previously worked for years, now only works w bluetooth.

Got the same problem. For now, I’ve plugged my phone into the car’s auxiliary usb-a port. Can’t use wireless CarPlay since updating to iOS 17.3 (iPhone 14 Pro Max).
