In early 2024, my iPhone started asking for my permission to use my location for apps like weather and Apple Maps. I give it permission to use precise location while using the app, every time, but next time I use it, the app asks permission again. Is Apple aware of this annoying bug? Will someone please fix this?

Same issue here. Ive updated to latest iOS, enabled “whilst using app and widget”, and still have the same issue. It’s frustrating and also makes Maps unusable in Apple CarPlay if you haven’t already set the location in your phone as it won’t track you.

Yes. Got the same issue. It’s very annoying and it appears only with apple apps, like whether, maps, calendar… Don’t know how to solve this - tried restart iPhone but it appeared again and again and again… It has occurred from perhaps last week (end of January 2024). Exactly the same issue and phone. Very frustrating, sinds the beginning of 2024. Latest software didn’t give a fix.
