Collaboration playlist button missing after Sonoma 14.3 update

It is not working on my iphone or ipad too.

Creating a music profile on iPhone Music App, and then signing out of Music on the Mac, restarting, and signing back in also now lets me setup collaborative playlists. So it's definitely linked to having a profile setup.

Mac mini M2 Pro, 14.3, Music 1.4.3.27

Tried Apple Support chat, who were worse than awful. I told them the button was missing and sent them the link to Apple's guide to collaboration management on Mac to show what I meant. After a lengthy pause they sent me back a copied and pasted list of the steps from that very article I had just sent them and asked 'have you tried this?'

At which point I ended the chat.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! This worked like magic. I thought I was going crazy! Half my playlists disappeared from my iphone, even though everything was up to date and I was logged in on icloud, and have itunes match. THIS WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! Thanks for a great fix.

Not sure what has made the difference, but I now have the button on my Mac. One or more of these things has made the difference:

• Updating my wife's iPhone to 17.3 (she's a family member of my account so has Apple Music through me), getting her to create a collaborative playlist on it and me joining it
• Me creating a profile in my iPhone Music app, which I'd never done before
• Signing out of my account in Music on the Mac after doing those things, quitting the app, going back in and signing back into my account.

After that sign-in, the button in question was there.

Same problem. I also tried booting into safe-mode (on the advice of Apple Support). I also confirmed the version number of the Apple Music app is 1.4.3.27. On a M3 Pro.

Same problem on my Mac Studio, working flawlessly on iPhone and iPad, but the button is missing in the Mac.

Setting up the profile on the Apple Music did it for me.
