Can't delete spam invite on my iPad calendar

I have an invite to an event titled’ “Don’t tell my BF I am sharing these pics!!!” It’s recurring over a period of about 7 weeks straight, so it really messes up my calendar. I have 4 calendars that show on my iPad: Outlook (which is my Hotmail), Yahoo, Gmail, and iCloud. The invite is on my Outlook calendar. I have seen other suggestions here saying to delete the invitation, but my only options are “Accept, Maybe, Decline,” so I have no obvious way to delete this. I also want to add that this only shows on my iPad. I used a browser and went to Outlook and even the calendar there does not show the event. I did find the sender in the Spam folder on the Outlook site, and I blocked the sender. Also changed my Outlook password (although I already have 2-factor authentication turned on). Absolutely nothing I try gets rid of this from my iPad, except for hiding the entire calendar. There are two invitees, myself and an email address **@****. I’m completely baffled on how to rid this, and perhaps more importantly, how were they able to access my calendar? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

My wife just had this today. Apparently the source was as one other poster pointed out a deleted spam email. It was either in the trash file or the spam file and all she did was empty the file and it disappeared.
