After iOS update, can no longer select photo size when emailing out

Before the recent iOS update, when I send a photo taken from my iphone via email as an attachment, I always had the option to select which size I want to send the photo in (actual, large, and two others I forgot). After the recent update to iOS 17.2.1, that function disappeared and every time I can only send the photos in Actual size, which is really large and inconvenient. I searched on this topic and saw someone else already asked this but the answer given by the Apple Expert on that thread was not helpful. He said this option was not available on all photos because some photos are already small. But that's not true. If the photo is already small, it still would have given me 4 options but all 4 options would have been the same small size. Now my problem is not related to an already-small photo. My problem is with large photos that I want to send in smaller sizes. Can someone really knows what's going on answer me? Thanks.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Photo sizing issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device.
