iPhone 15 volume adjustment increments

Hello.

I recently got an iPhone 15. There doesn’t seem to be a way to gradually raise or lower the volume smoothly or in small increments. When using the side buttons or the slider in control center it seems the difference between silent and the next level can raise it to is very pronounced, as if it can only be raised in 10% to increments rather than smoothly from 1% to 2% to 3% and so on. With my previous iPhone 13 it was possible to make finer adjustments to the sound level. I hope I’m making this clear. Is anyone else experiencing this or able to suggest a solution? Thanks!

Thanks for the response! No, I didn't see an actual %. I was using it to quantify that it seemed with my iPhone 13 I could make much finer adjustments to the volume whereas with the iPhone 15 it seems that if I push the volume up or down button or use the slider in control center, the volume does not increase or decrease smoothly. Rather there are sudden jumps in the volume, as if rather than going from 10% to 11% to 12% to 13% to 14% to 15% it just jumps from 10% to 15%, then 15% to 20%. I hope that clarifies things.

As an example, with my previous iPhone I used to listen to music on headphones while falling asleep and I was able to adjust the volume to be just loud enough that I could hear it. With the iPhone 15 I can barely hear it at all, and if I press the up volume button once, it is now way too loud. There is no in between.

Thanks again for the reply!

Are you saying finer volume adjustment of the range from 1% to 2% to 3% and so on was possible on iPhone 13?

I am not sure where do see the percentage on an iPhone 13. I cannot see it either on the Control Center or on Button Controls.

See the GIF below made using iPhone 13 iOS 17.2.1. I could find any percentage display. Am I missing something?
