iphone backup is larger than its storage
When I make a backup from my 128GB iPhone 12 to my imac, I see that it is 130GB. How is this possible? And how can I fix it?
iPhone 13, iOS 17

Clear Space:
Is your iPhone 128GB? Never keep an iPhone 100% full --and the same apples to all mobile devices and computers. With no space, your device can overheat.
Caches may have intensely uploaded. So, clear them.
Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:
Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support
So, what to do...

Actually i had this situation, the problem is:
When i check my iphone's internal storage i see, around 80 gb stuff, but when i connect any kind of pc (mac and windows) it shows 105 gb of photos.
Even i check the icloud i can only see maximum 700 mb of data.
I mean there are extra 45 gb of photos i have that i cannot check from my mobile device.
I update the software nothing changed.
Backups always require some extra "overhead" storage. No way to change that.
thanks for your answer. but how could it be possible? i'm trying to understand this. what are extra files?
