Mac Studio sluggish and beach balling intermittently in DAWs.

Whenever I have a logic or reaper session open long enough, I get consistently stuttering beachballs and audio dropout every other minute. It goes away temporarily when restarting in safe mode, but comes back after a few hours. It also persists across different user accounts on the computer, as per a troubleshooting I followed from this thread. (M1 Ultra Mac Studio Severely Sluggish - Apple Community)

Would really appreciate any help with this, as I just bought this M1 and need all the power I can get out of it.

Attached is the EtreCheckPro Diagnostic results.

the most egregious issue is that your boot drive is FULL. You have under 20 GB available.

Major Issues:

Anything that appears on this list needs immediate attention.

Low disk space - This computer is running critically low on free hard drive space.

for reference, MacOS consumes over 9 GB going from cold start to up-and-running.
