iOS 17.2.1 Search Contacts Doesn't Work

Just got an iPhone 15 and noticed the search contacts feature isn't working. I Googled the problem and saw it reported in 2022 with iOS 15. Suggested to restart my phone but that hasn't worked. Is this a continuing known issue? Any solutions?
