iphone 14plus volume super loud randomly & volume bar will not work

This is a brand new IPhone 14Plus not even 24hours old. Unfortunately I just had to send back my first brand new iPhone 14 Plus for this EXACT issue and then this new one is doing it now too!? I have my volume set more towards the lower end usually in between low and middle. When I was scrolling through my phone I was startled by the loud text tone! I went to turn down the volume on the side and the same thing happened. The volume bar was not effecting the sound from getting lower or higher! I restarted my phone and so far it hasn’t done it but… what gives!? I don’t want this brand new phone if this is going to be an ongoing issue with the IPhone 14Plus! Is it the update or what?!

My phone 14 pro max does the same thing and it's so annoying. like video playing will suddenly go full blast speakerphone max volume level and I can't turn it down with volume rockers but have to swipe down and adjust volume from there

If the sound issue is attributed to the iOS update, it would imply that every device which underwent the iOS upgrade should experience this problem. In other words, if the root cause is indeed tied to the software update, one would expect a universal manifestation of the sound issue across all devices that were updated to the latest iOS

If the issue persists, you can try resetting all settings on your iPhone. This won't delete your data, but it will reset system settings like Wi-Fi passwords and wallpaper. To do this, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone Reset > Reset All Settings.

That makes sense. Thanks for your input and feedback. I’m really not sure what’s going on. It’s so upsetting because it happens randomly. I’m going to reset my phone and see if that helps but idk… I doubt it. It’s definitely weird that two brand new iPhone 14plus phones are doing this. I have saw others speak about this issue but it was for other iPhones. I really want to get to the root of the problem because I’m unsure if it’s the phone or what. Idk if I should just buy a different iPhone or switch to another phone brand. Spending so much money for these phones and it’s unfortunate there be issues like this.
