Aaptiv workouts not counting towards my rings

I workout with the Aaptiv app and my watch used to log these and count them towards my exercise ring. A while ago it stopped and then with a shut down and restart of both my phone and my watch, it was working again. In December I got an iPhone 15. When I start a workout on my phone in Aaptiv my watch repeatedly shows the Aaptiv icon in the center and goes blank like it is trying but failing to connect. It logs several zero second workouts and that’s it. Sometimes it doesn’t even acknowledge that I started a workout. I restarted both devices to no avail.
