You don't mention what country you currently reside in, but unless it uses the same electrical wall outlet types, you most likely will need a plug adapter.

For reference, if you currently live in the U.S., type A (2-prong) & B (3-prong) outlets are typically used.

That should address the plug type, but as far as operating voltages, the Apple power adapters can work in variety of voltage ranges and are rated to do so safely.
