Apple Watch battery drains super fast - doesn't last a full night's sleep

I just purchased an Apple watch (aluminum, Series 9) and wear it a night to check my heart beat. The watch will not last a full night (7 hours) and typically dies in less then 6 hours. I turned off "background app refresh" - still dies. I put in "airplane" mode - still dies. I turn off "wifi" - still dies.

The battery is in perfect condition (100% max capacity), also ran analytics with support personnel.

any ideas????? thanks!!!!!

I had yesterday the same issue and seems to be solved by this magic cup.

recharge the Apple Watch at full. When its full charged and while wired to the wall, turn off your iPhone, unplug the Apple Watch and then turn off the Apple Watch (settings-> turn off), turn on the iPhone, plug in again the Apple Watch to power, it will turn on automatically.

this fixed the problem for me after 2 exceptionallly small cycles of 10 hours (the average for me with my settings and usage pattern is 27 hours more or less)
