I just picked up my airpod pro 2nd gen from the mail today and when I opened the box I noticed that the charging cable isn’t a usb-c also the charging port of the AirPods case is not usb-c compatible, I am beyond confused. I have even typed in the serial number on the Apple webpage and it claimed that the product is a 2nd gen pros.

not all AirPods Pro from the second gen feature an usb C case. You can buy AirPods Pro second gen with lightning case as well.
So your case has a lightning connector therefore you cannot charge it with an usb c cable, you can only charge it with a lightning to usb c cable.

thats The old AirPods Pro’s second gen the new second gen airpod pros have usb-c charging port because all of the new apple products are all usb-c only
I bought a pair of refurbished AirPod Pros 2nd generation on Amazon and they’re 2nd gen pros, I checked, but the case has a lightning port instead of USB-C, I didn’t know that apple actually made 2nd gen pros with a lightning case.
Can I switch my charging case used a lightning cable to charge with one tht uses USB-C ?
Did you get them from Apple? If you got them from somewhere else well I’m very sorry to type this but, you may have been scammed or just a little mistake from wherever you got them from
