I want Focus app permanently off my iPhone

I use an iPhone SE 2022 @ 17.1.2 and I get this FOCUS message.

I want to receive every call at all times, so the last thing I want is anything on my phone that could possibly interfere with 24/7/365 reception. So I want to get rid of this Focus thing totally, including this "don't disturb" feature, that makes me very nervous because I don't know if and how this whole thing was activated in the first place, and I fear that I could miss calls, important to me. The mere possibility spooks me.

Long message short: I want this "focus" app, including the "don't disturb" feature, totally, absolutely, irreversibly, permanently off my iPhone.

I may be the densed man on the face of the earth, but "don't disturb" is obviously on and I can't find a way to turn it off.

Tapping on the "on" (Aan >) or anywhere els does not help. Just the follow up screen appears and there too is no way to shut it of or disable it.

Please note: If someone calls me, it may be an emergency and I need to respond then and there, without any suspicion that my iPhone might decide that I may not want to answer the call.

Focus is not an App, its a setting and cannot be removed from your iPhone, its part of the operating system.

As long as all Focus types are turned off, then it should not be causing calls or messages to be silenced.

You can delete all Focus types except Do Not Disturb, but as long as that is not turned on, it will not silence anything.

This is factually incorrect, even with all focus types turned off. Apple still silences calls - especially from business numbers.

Then something else is silencing calls. With focus turned off nothing should be silenced, as focus would not be active. The only other option is if you have something else that is silencing them, like the mute button in control center.

Is the little bell icon in control center turned on?
